We met through unlikely circumstances - being introduced by a close friend, Randa, who finally got Andrew to reach out to Janelle via instagram!
After some chatting, we organised our first date - bowling. Andrew won, but this didn't seem to impress Janelle too much.
The next date, coffee before work, definitely sparked something. Maybe it was some magic tricks that Andrew pulled out of his sleeve, or maybe it was Andrew's connoisseurship regarding coffee...
The third date involved one of our favourite things - ice cream! Despite Janelle's amateur choice in flavour, this was the day that they knew there was something special.
And then, the rest is history. Things seemed to be moving so quickly! Maybe this had something to do with Janelle asking Andrew to "come down and meet some of the family" on the fourth date... (meeting some of the family involved a backyard full of relatives), or maybe it was the genuine loving connection that was formed.
We felt as if we had known each other for many years. We went off roading, bush walking, restaurant hopping, and everything else, for 3 beautiful years.
Then, Andrew decided that whilst these 3 years were amazing, spending the rest of our lives together seems that much better.
So, on the 11/11/2023, at a picnic by the sunset overlooking our favourite spot, the Blue Mountains, Andrew got down on one knee, and asked Janelle to spend forever with him.
She cried, and didn't give a clear answer, but Andrew had already paid for this very website and domain name, and we all know that Andrew HATES money being wasted, and alas, here we are.
(She did eventually say yes)
Despite what many people say, the journey of wedding planning has been incredible smooth and fun. We didn't want anything overboard, or anything that isn't 'us'. The most important thing to the both of us, is you, the person reading this, and we wanted to create a day that celebrates both you, and Us, as we start this new chapter of our lives.
